Don’t cover up bad breath

Tonsil stones will not just go away

Lots of people with chronic bad breath try their hardest to cover up the problem, not knowing what else to do. And who can blame them? Anything to STOP THAT STINKY BREATH straight away.

But ignoring tonsil stones and covering up bad breath doesn’t work.

Unless you address the root causes of tonsil stones and associated reasons for your bad breath, you will never be free of bad breath or the bad feelings that go with it.

Use stuff that really works

TheraBreath Free Trial

It’s horrible to know that you smell bad and that no matter what you do to mask that smell,
it just keeps on returning. It doesn’t just haunt you, but your partner, your family and friends, your work colleagues, even strangers in the street are all painfully aware of your smelly problem. Standing at arm’s length, facing away from your breath, putting up barriers physically and emotionally.

It’s embarrassing to have tonsil stones & bad breath.

And it’s not just the embarrassment.Tonsil stones are at best uncomfortable, at worst downright painful, giving you an itchy throat, a rotten cough and a feeling that something is wrong “back there” that you just can’t budge.

There are doctors and dentists who will readily recommend antibiotics to get rid of tonsil stones and when they fail to work, recommend a full on tonsilectomy.

Don’t go there.

It’s surgery and surgery comes with life threatening risks. It’s also very nasty surgery for an adult to have tonsils removed.

FIRST try these simple tips

For your bad breath, sore throat and irritation cough caused by tonsil stones, you need to

  • Eat a healthy, balanced diet
  • Brush teeth and tongue morning and night
  • Use a tongue scraper to get rid of built up residue
  • Gargle every night
  • Don’t eat after you have cleaned your teeth at night
  • Cut back on alcohol and coffee (they dry your mouth out)
  • Cut out or cut down on smoking

It is well worth investing in quality toothpaste and mouth wash/gargle products.

Beware of Popular Brands

Some popular brands of toothpaste and mouthwash actually dry out your mouth with their inordinate alcohol content. Some even contain artificial sugars.

If you use the wrong products – and most of them are the very popular brands in bathrooms around the world – you will make your tonsil stones worse, not better.

Try products that are purpose designed to deal with your tonsil stones and bad breath and that keep your mouth, teeth and gums healthy.

Secure your free trial now and be amazed at how easy it is to freshen up your stinky breath and get your life back on track.

Don’t cover up bad breath. Prevent it.

Don’t tolerate tonsil stones. Be rid of them.

Therabreath Free Trial

Because you are prone to tonsil stones, it is well worth using specially formulated products that both actively work on the problem and don’t contain ingredients that counteract what you are trying to do. Therabreath is a natural and scientifically proven system that works. And you’ve got nothing to lose (except that stinky smell).

painful gums

Radiograph of lower right third, second, and f...

One major reason for painful gums is having food stuck between your teeth.

Food that gets jammed between teeth should be removed as soon as possible, with a gentle toothpick motion or with dental floss or dental pics.

If you are not using any of these items, how on earth are you expecting to get food trapped between your teeth out of there and to relieve pressure on your gums which of course can result in mild to serious gum infection.

It is easy to forget to do this extra oral hygiene stop, but forget it at your peril.

how to use tongue scraper

Frenulum linguae

How to use tongue scraper is in fact very simple.

Many people do it exactly wrong.

You need to be gentle and get as far back in your throat as your gag reflex allows you. It gets easier the more you do it and you should do it every day if you suffer from a build up of muck on your tongue.

After you scrape (or gently brush) your tongue, you then apply a dot of non foaming toothpaste onto your brush and coat your tongue, letting it sit for a little while to soak in before rinsing.

tonsil stones pain

Yellowish tonsilolith next to ruler.

Tonsil stones pain or discomfort is no fun at all.

You can only avoid the pain of tonsil stones by dealing with the cause of this condition. While you can carefully remove existing tonsilliths, they are going to keep coming back unless you change several things about your oral hygiene and perhaps even eating habits.

Tonsilloliths can cause you to have an uncomfortable feeling at the back of your throat like something is stuck in there (something is!).

You may get a gagging sensation or a need to cough rather too often.

You may suffer from a sore throat more often than most people because of these balls stuck in your tonsils.

treatment of bad breath

bad breath Cures, what works?

Sadly all of us suffer from bad breath. bad breath cures are necessary for all of us occasionally. No matter how much we floss and brush and gargle, we still have those germs in our mouths that make horrible smells.

Why we get bad breath

The basic cause of bad breath is bacteria that produce sulfur. these bacteria live on the tongue and in the throat and they are part of your natural system, so you should not try to get rid of them.

They are there to help digestion in that they break down proteins, occuring in food, phlegm, blood and mouth tissue.

From time to time these bacteria break down those proteins really quickly and then the amino acids in proteins produce halitosis or bad breath.

The bacteria “eats” the proteins in the mouth and releases sulfur compounds as it does and as long as the process is not addressed, your breath gets increasingly bad.

What bad breath is NOT

You have to understand that this bacteria that is causing you grief is not a sign of bad health or poor oral hygiene.  It is not a disease or affliction. You don’t get bad breath from anyone else.

Your breath is bad because of the rate at which your bacteria are working on digesting your proteins.

Treatment of bad breath

Slow down how fast your bacteria are working and you won’t have bad breath.

You’re going to need to use a system to keep your breath fresh, your mouth clean and your teeth healthy and plaque and cavity free.

Results are not instantaneous, but the effort is worth the reward of a genuine bad breath cure.

tongue scraping

Tongue cleaner

Image via Wikipedia

Tongue scraping is a worthwhile part of your oral hygiene routine.

You need to go about it the right way, though.

You don’t need an expensive or even any, tongue scraper. Though you might prefer to have one rather than to use your toothbrush for this – it’s up to you.

Whatever you use, be gentle and get as far back as you can without gagging.

Then put a thin coating of good quality (non foaming) toothpaste over your tongue and let it sit there for up to a minute before rinsing.

This will help eliminate bad breath and the build up of sulpher causing gunk on your tongue.

how to treat tonsil stones

Tonsils

How to treat tonsil stones immediately

Tonsil stones are more common than you might think for many people.

You have to know exactly what tonsilloliths are, why they are affecting you and what you can do to eliminate them them forever.

In the first instance, you do not have to think about surgery to eliminate tonsil stones.

Tonsiliths are due to  an accumulation of bacteria that produce sulphur from debris caught in your tonsils. This junk can include mucous from post nasal drip that clogs up your tonsil crypts.

You can stop tonsilloliths forming and effectively treat the ones you have.

Why is it that tonsiliths smell bad?

In amongst the debris caught in your tonsils, you get bacteria under the surface of your tongue that produce the sulphur compounds and create halitosis and other taste disorders.

While you could think the answer is  getting your tonsils removed to address this issue, because people who don’t have tonsils, don’t as a rule, get tonsilloliths, but tonsil surgery should not be considered as your first option to cure tonsiliths, control gum infection or as a bad breath cure.

And getting your tonsils out is increasingly risky as you get older. Plus you won’t get rid of the sulphur producing bacteria that will keep right on causing you bad breath.

This is how to treat tonsil stones

You require a combination of oxygenating tablets and nasal sinus drops. Plus using an oxygenating spray now and then will immediately neutralize the bacteria on contact.

Toothpastes should not contain foaming soaps and mouthwashes should not be those supermarket ones that are laced with drying alcohol. A tongue scraper used correctly will shift bacteria off the far back of your tongue.

An end to embarrassing bad breath, sore throats or horrid balls of smelly goo in your tonsils!

This method will stop tonsil stones in their tracks.

bad breath natural remedies

What are the bad breath natural remedies that really work?

Well, firstly it depends on the cause of your bad breath.

If it is food related, you can change your diet or select extra foods (including some herbs) to counter the odours caused by the food you love.

If it is because you are using a commercial toothpaste or mouthwash that dries out your mouth and causes your natural mouth bacteria to work overtime and produce extra sulfer fumes, you need to change your oral hygiene products.

To work out a natural cure, you need to know the cause.

gum infection causes

One of the major gum infection causes is poor dental hygiene.

If you get food stuck between your teeth and where your gums meet your teeth and that food stays there, you can infect your gums.

Likewise, if you fail to clean away the soft plaque that forms around your teeth and you don’t get your dentist to scrape away the hardened  plaque (tartar), you are likely to encounter mild to very serious gum infection.

You could even lose some teeth.

Cleaning your teeth correctly and often with the right products is vital to preventing gum disease.
