There is a danger in finding an effective post nasal drip cure because when working on drying up the drip, you may also be drying up the throat and therefore creating an environment for bacteria in the mouth to pump out sulfur componds and making your breath stink.
Most antihistamines will do that to you, as well as being somewhat habit forming if you use them for too long.
Many over the counter medications for post nasal drip do the job too well and dry you out.
As well as this, their effects are temporary and when the medication stops, the drip starts again.
Frustrating!
