How to use a tongue scraper

It is such a pity about the name, because you really don’t want to scrape your tongue till it’s rough and sore and raw.

Some people have even made their tongue bleed in over enthusiastic use of a tongue scraper, and that is not good for you in the short or long term.

Just gently move the scraper over the surface of your tongue as far back as you are able to get the build up off your tongue, then apply a small dot of non-soap based toothpaste on the scraper, gently rub that over your tongue and leave it to “soak in” for a couple of minutes before rinsing your mouth.
