Are tonsil stones the sign of a health condition, and should I seek help?

This morning I coughed up my first tonsil stone while brushing the back of my tongue. At first I thought it was some sort of weird aftermath from the Hi-Chew candy I had been eating (A Japanese candy similar to Starbursts, but more soft and gummy in texture), but it was indeed a tonsil stone.

Should I be concerned? Am I in some sort of health trouble if I have a tonsil stone at the age of 20?
Please only reply if you even know what tonsil stones are.

I’ve never heard of a tonsil stone, how do tonsils make stones?
