		<description>The only way to be able to tell if antibiotics are required is to visit a doctor so that they can do a throat culture. Without a conclusive test (such as this) it is not possible to say without doubt that it is a bacterial infection. Also, the only way to recieve antibiotic medications is through a prescription from you doctor. 
As to why this always happens in December, it is possible that your immune system always reaches a low point in December. This could be due to added stress from the holidays, cold weather etc.&lt;br&gt;&lt;b&gt;References : &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>
