People who get tonsiliths, how do you get them out?
Usually my tonsiliths go away over night and I wake up with bad breath and a lump in my throat that i swallow, but for some reason this one has stayed for about a week. Is it bad for it to stay in so long? My gag reflex is extremely sensitive so I am scared to dig it out.
I use a Q-tip. I have a moderate gag reflex, but when I am alone in my bathroom, it doesn’t bother me when I gag a little bit. Besides I hate when I can feel them with the posterior part of my tongue and they smell horrible!
I’ve also heard of gargling with salt water, but have never tried it. You can use a 1/2 tsp. of salt to one cup of warm water.
Most people pick them out either with their finger or with some type of tool that can reach the tonsil but isn’t too sharp so it won’t cause the tonsils to bleed.

They take them out using something that goes into the nose. They take it out from there.
