Sounds really bad, doesn’t it – throat stones.

Those aren’t really little stones in your throat, they are a bit soft and pliable, but tonsil stones or tonsiliths or tonsilloliths or throat stones do resemble tiny white pebbles.

They are smelly and they are awkward, lodged in the back of your throat and they are quite scary when they dislodge and float around your mouth.

You can get rid of the ones you’ve got and you can take steps to ensure you don’t get more.  Whatever you do, don’t go leaping into tonsil surgery – first take less drastic measures.
