If you have a build up of tonsil debris, then what you really have is tonsil stones.
Tonsil stones or tonsilloliths are a build up of food matter, mucous and other bits and pieces that gum together and lodge in the back of your throat.
They are compact and smelly and often cause irritation to the throat.
These tonsilliths lodge themselves in your tonsil pockets or crypts and now and then find their way into the front of your mouth to have you wondering what the heck they are and what to do about them.
