Tonsil Stones …????

sometimes I cough-up these disgusting whitish little clumpy ball shaped things from the back of my throat, yeah and well this has been going on for years. And recently hear I started to get freaked-out thinking something was wrong with me, so I checked the internet and I came across ‘Tonsil Stones’, and how everybodys been describing that, it seems like that’s what I have.
But I was thinking what if it’s not tonsil stones…. could it be something else maybe???
I’m not really sure, so I’ll check the internet a little more.

Tonsil "stones" are usually called tonsoliths by health care professionals. The term means – surprise – tonsil stones. Tonsils are covered by "crypts" or pits, basically, and "crud" easily gets built up in the crypts. Sometimes this crud sticks together enough to make little balls, or tonsoliths. Mostly, these are benign bits of goo that do nothing. Sometimes the harbour strep bugs but usually they are harmless. What you are coughing up could be tonsoliths, but they could also be bits of mucus from your nasal passages and sinuses.

Sounds like sinus drainage to me, but maybe you should see a Dr. to be sure.
