Will a tonsil stone fall out on it’s own?
I only have one in the back of my throat, and I keep gargling with salt water 4 times a day…
Tonsil stones usually do come out on their own, and you’re doing the right thing by gargling with salt water.
Other things to try:
1. Gargle with Cepacol mouthwash–it may not dislodge your current stone, but it will kill the bacteria that contributes to the formation of large stones.
2. Press on the side of your neck where the stone is and cough HARD.
3. Gently use a q-tip or other small object (oral thermometer, etc…something with a rounded tip) to either scrape or push the stone out…use this as your last resort and be careful, as you don’t want to injure your throat or gag yourself.
Once the stone is out, I highly recommend the Cepacol mouthwash to prevent recurrence.

It probably will, but until then it will be irritating and smelly. I would just get a qtip and swab it out, or wash your hands and get it with your fingers.
